Nancy Molnar Spencer
July 7, 1935 - October 6, 2004

Many that shared the joy of my mother's life would be happy to know she was with family always.

Born on July 7, 1935 in Akron, Ohio to Czech and Hungarian immigrants Sue and Michael Molnar, Nancy received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Mount Union College and was a first grade teacher in the Parma school system. She was a homemaker who raised four children and five foster children but was also:

  • Founder of the Martha Todd Singers, a dinner cabaret performing group.
  • Cast member on ABC's One Life to Live, All my Children, Guiding Light and numerous other TV and theatre productions. Member of AFTRA and the Screen Actors Guild.
  • Soloist of the First Church of Christ Scientist, New Canaan CT and visiting soloist in many churches in Fairfield County.
  • Amateur Camera Operator and guest welcomer for the PBS TV show, MoneyHunt.
  • Spokeswomen for NARP's national healthcare campaign.
  • Special assistant to the founder of Callie's Organics. Her legacy lives on through her husband of 48 years, Arthur, her four children Bradley, Callie, Miles and Elizabeth and four grandchildren Alexandra, Samantha, Natalie and Emily.

The Make a Joyful Noise Society, named after her CD recording of spiritual songs she made for this occasion, is now a charitable foundation dedicated to joy of life initiatives. Tributes and remembrances can be send to "Make a Joyful Noise-KFAC" c/o 19 Pine Hill Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06855. The CD will be sent as a thank you.
